Photographs from the 1950s

I have just done a small card for the photographer Bridget Bishop – which is not that interesting on its own but Bridget's images are. Working under the name of Cory Bevington, Bridget took amazing images of different aspects of life in post-war Britain. Lost Rural Industries, Lotus Car Factory, First Girl on a Mail Train, Nuns Working on a Farm… they are all a fascinating glimpse into a world that seems to have disappeared. There is also a great series on a solitary technician at Battersea Power Station on Christmas day. Have a look!
